DHL chooses the mobile solution Tensing Field Vision. This Front End Solution has recently been introduced for intra-Benelux activities within the DHL Freight Benelux organization. DHL Freight is planning to implement this solution for other activities within the Benelux organization in the future.

DHL wanted a functional and simple mobile solution with a wide range of standard functionalities. After an extensive selection DHL chose the solution Tensing Field Vision.

Why DHL chose Tensing
An important criterion in the selection was the fact that DHL needed a standard mobile solution with ‘off the shelf’ functionalities such as:

• Route planning;
• Status messages/client orders;
• Monitoring/positioning;
• Navigation;
• Barcodescanning;
• POD-image.

An important reason to choose Tensing Field Vision is the fact that Tensing offers a total concept. Tensing can offer the necessary GPRS communication server (the Tensing Field Vision Gateway) as a service from their own hosting centre which gives DHL the opportunity to also implement Tensing Field Vision with other divisions and to enlarge the capacity step by step.

DHL Freight Benelux intends to equip the majority of their rolling-stock with Tensing Field Vision. Partly this concerns a first installation of the mobile solution, partly replacing the present mobile solution.
