Jan Scheurwater has retired his post as CEO of Tensing after more than 23 years, leaving Dirk Verbeek as the new CEO.
Dirk Verbeek and Jan Scheurwater have been at the helm of Tensing since 1990. They have always focused on delivering high quality services and software products. The result is a global IT organization with an excellent reputation in the market.
The retirement did not come as a surprise. Since February 1, 2009 Verbeek has been assuming the responsibilities of CEO to ensure a smooth transition. Previously Verbeek held the positions of Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Business Development. As the largest shareholder Verbeek is responsible for Tensing in the Netherlands and the USA.
"Jan indicated some time ago that he wanted to step back at one point. Therefore the organization could prepare itself for this change. Tensing has long-term business and personal relationships with many people and organizations they represent. We are very happy with these relationships, they are of great value and form a solid basis for further growth", says Dirk Verbeek.
The other members of the management team are Alexander Knijff (CFO) and Douwe Blanksma (COO). Jan Scheurwater remains involved in Tensing as a shareholder and consultant. |
