Ymere, the largest housing association in the Netherlands, has chosen the solution Tensing Track & Trace.Web. The goals of this implementation is being able to look at actual positions of the service vehicles and have a clear overview of driven mileage. Ymere manages over 75,000 houses from seven regional offices. At this moment there are about 140 service vehicles which are drive by a multiple number of employees to service and inspect houses. A board computer is installed in the service vehicles. The driver has to identify himself before he can start the car. When the driver is logged in, the car can be tracked and traced via the Internet as the board computer sends out a positioning signal. This position data is use to determine the driven route and distance. Besides that Ymere now is able to plan the service engineer nearest by in case of incidents.
