Tensing realizes migration Cadastre website | Print |  E-mail
The current Kadata Internet is being replaced with Intergraphs’ webgis: GeoMedia WebMap. Tensing realizes this migration. Kadata Internet is part of the website My Cadastre in which customers can buy digital (geographical) data. Tensing and Getronics PinkRoccade initially developed this website.

The functionality of the web map component of this site is the ability to interactively select a map of specific objects or a certain area. The website is being migrated as the currently used GIS-platform is being replace company wide. The Cadastre has chosen one GIS supplier: Intergraph.

About Kadaster
The Netherlands' Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency (called in short Kadaster) is an independent public agency at national level, responsible for the land registry, cadastre and mapping of the Netherlands. All data, administrative as well as geometric, are digital available. In 2004 the Netherlands National Mapping Agency merged with Kadaster, giving the organisation the responsibility for nationwide small scale topographical mapping. Nearly 100% of the information supply is by fully automated electronic data transfer, including the payment of the information.

Largest Real Estate Information System
Kadaster manages the country’s largest parcel based real estate information system, consisting of the register of conveyance deeds, the cadastral register, the cadastral map and the register of measurements of parcel boundaries. The registration includes the registration of condominium, including the physical description of the condominium rights.

Land Consolidation
An important task of Kadaster lies in the process of land consolidation, the primary responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture. Kadaster is responsible for the legal certainness of the rightholders of the immovable property, and has executed these activities since the beginning of the 20th century. Kadaster has obtained much experience in the process of making an inventory of the existing situation (rights and values of property), establishing new parcelation plans and preparing the final invoice for each individual right holder.

Large Scale Base Map
Kadaster is the project manager for the large scale topographical base mapping project, organised in a public-private partnership (PPP), and is responsible for the quality control of the project.
