Tensing launches version 6.1 of the Tensing Mobility Platform |

Tensing has released version 6.1 of its Tensing Mobility Platform (TMP), a complete suite of mobile applications for the automation of any field service process. With this version Tensing offers customers new features to help optimize their field service processes and increase customer satisfaction.
The Tensing Mobility Platform gives service organizations back office functionality to optimize their planning, manage their fleet and present real time information to their customers via e-mail or a customer portal. The office modules are fully integrated with the field modules to provide work orders, GIS data, and in car navigation in the field. All TMP modules can be integrated with existing systems.
The highlights of the new version 6.1 include:
- Back office integration through Web services
- “Drag & drop” feature for rescheduling orders in the Gantt-chart of the Dispatch and Scheduler applications
- Support of mobile printers within the Mobile Workflow application with standardized drivers
- Support for Windows 7
- Support for Microsoft SQL Server 2008
- Support for Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2
With TMP 6.1 the field operation and back office staff will be able to share critical information regarding customers, orders, material and assets, regardless of location. The field workers will arrive at the customer location on time with the right equipment and information to complete their jobs quickly and efficiently.
Last May Tensing released version 6.0 of TMP which added functionality such as a new user interface, integration with ALK CoPilot route navigation within the mobile workflow application, integration with Scheduler functionality and a view of real time GPS positions in the Tensing Dispatch application.
