Vanderlande Industries optimizes planning process | Print |  E-mail

Vanderlande Industries, an automated material handling systems provider, has implemented Tensing Scheduler to optimize their planning process.  Vanderlande uses the Scheduler to automatically plan their resources such as dealers, subcontractors, and service and maintenance technicians in the installation and servicing of their systems at customer locations.

“We use a wide array of resources in our daily field operations; therefore optimizing the scheduling of those resources is extremely important in our business.  With the Tensing Scheduler we are able to assign a value to those factors that are important to us such as travel distance, skill sets, and contract requirements and schedule work based on those factors.  The result is more efficient planning, better utilization of our resources in the field, and better control over our field service process,” said Herman Kooij of Vanderlande Industries.

Vanderlande is in the final phase of the implementation process which will link Tensing Scheduler to their back office system, Edwards Enterprise ONE.  The final phase will be completed in the first quarter of 2010.
