Tensing Dispatch interfaceds with all back-office systems to plan and dispatch orders. The sophisticated application assigns orders to mobie workers based on a customizable set of criteria. The criteria include:
- current worker status;
- worker skill set;
- current worker location;
- order parameter;
- current worker service appointments;
- estimated time allotted for appointment;
- routeing optimization.
Service work is not always planned. Emergencies and high-priority orders can come at any time. Tensing Dispatch is equipped to handle all unplanned work. Emergency work is sent directly to the field worker's mobile device with all the required data to complete the work and an emergency checklist.
The completion status data for an order can be reported back to the dispatcher immediately or at the end of the day, depending upon the order type. Various completion codes can be associated with the order to trigger subsequent processes (e.g., e-mail notification or creation of work items for the back office systems). In addition, location data, such as the location of a gas leak, can be sent directly to the back office system if a GPS receiver is attached to the mobile device.
