Tensing Fleet Management is the logistics solution for trip registration, tracking & tracing, mobile (data) communications and in-car navigation.
Trip registration
Tensing Fleet Management offers a highly advanced system of trip and time reporting. The on vehicle system automatically records and stores all vehicle activity and optionally crew activity. To report crew activity Tensing Fleet Management supports several identification systems, for example iButton and Omron card readers.
Track & trace
Tensing Fleet Management knows the location and status of every vehicle in the fleet, based on the GPS locations reported to the office. Based on these position the system offers complete insight in the fleet’s whereabouts and status.
Mobile (data) communications
Crucial for Tensing Fleet Management is reliable and flexible communication facilities supporting the exchange of data between the vehicles in the fleet and the office. Mobile communications are developing rapidly. Tensing Fleet Management supports GSM, GPRS, P(A)MR (i.e. Nokia Actionet), UMTS, Tetra and Mobitex amongst other carriers and networks. The Tensing Fleet Management server can connect to multiple networks, even simultaneously. This makes it the system of choice for organizations that plan, or want to have the option to, migrate from one communications platform to another, whether now or in the future. In addition to the transmission of data, Tensing Fleet Management also supports voice calls as a mode of communication between the fleet and the office.
The exchange of text messages and status data between the fleet and the office is standard functionality of Tensing Fleet Management. In addition, the system supports the transmission of data files and logistic information. When using an intelligent terminal such as the Skeye.pad from Höft & Wessel, even web browsing is possible.
Navigation
An unique feature of Tensing Fleet Management is its ability to control in-vehicle navigation systems from the office. Fleet Management interfaces with navigation systems such as VDO Dayton, TomTom, and Altruion to remotely upload new destinations without any action from the crew.
