Anouska Jaspersen

Hi, I am Anouska, and I have been working as a Young Professional at Tensing since April 2023.

Career
I did a bachelor's degree in Social Geography and Planning at Utrecht University. Here I discovered the GIS world, which I was eager to continue in. The Erasmus Mundus master Cartography in Germany and Austria perfectly combined my interests in maps, GIS and graphic design. After my master I worked for defense for a while and now I hope to further develop my GIS skills within Tensing.

Free time
As a child I lived in the Veluwe region, but during my studies I traveled quite a bit around the world and then traveled in my self-built campervan. I like to be outside in nature, preferably in the mountains, and otherwise I enjoy taking up a DIY project in my free time. If I'm not out and about with my campervan on weekends, I can often be found at the bouldering hall as well.

Why Tensing
Tensing's Young Professional Program really appealed to me because we get a lot of space to continue learning and figure out what direction we want to take. The assignments are interesting and challenging, and there are many different possibilities. Of course, the open atmosphere at the office is also very important.
