Hi, my name is Christian and I have been working at Tensing as a Young Professional since September '23.
Career
I started my Bachelor's degree in Social Geography and Planning (SGPL) at Utrecht University in 2016. There, I was first introduced to GIS, something that immediately appealed to me. Subsequently, I therefore followed the master's in Geographical Information Management and Applications (GIMA). I did my internship at Esri Netherlands, where I worked on the subject of Digital Twins.
Spare time
I live in Houten. I like to spend my free time cycling, running and hiking through the Dutch countryside, reading books and travelling with friends.
Why Tensing?
Tensing is a place where I hope to develop further on a technical, professional and personal level. When you walk around here, you notice that there is a lot of knowledge and experience with GIS projects in the organisation. Colleagues enjoy sharing their experiences with you and there is an open, friendly atmosphere, something that appeals to me as well.
I am motivated by the idea that GIS can help obtain and disseminate spatial insights that can contribute to a finer living environment.
