Jeroen Ammerlaan

My name is Jeroen Ammerlaan. I started as a Young Professional on the first of February 2023.

Career
I studied Archaeology with a specialization in digital archaeology. During my studies I learned about the different techniques to digitalize archaeology, GIS was an important part of that. I also worked on maps and 3D models created with photogrammetry.

After my study I started working at Liander as part of the team asset registration, where I drew all the electrical stations and cables on a map. I also worked at Bilfinger Tebodin for a short time as a Pipeline Designer. At Tebodin I created 3D visualizations in ArcGIS.

Spare time
I live in Vianen with my parents and my younger brother, but I am looking for an apartment.
In my spare time I like to spend time with friends. With friends I usually play some games, both videogames and boardgames. I also like listen to music. I have been playing the drums for about 12 years. In the evenings I like to play tennis.

Why Tensing?
I got intrigued by Tensing because of the connection between GIS and communication. I really like that combination. This also shined through on my first day. A group of people that focuses on not only good work, but also a good working environment
