Jetze Hofstra

My name is Jetze Hofstra and I have been working at Tensing as a Young Professional since 2 April 2024.

Career
Following my interest in plate tectonics, volcanoes and dinosaurs, I followed the bachelor Earth Sciences and master Earth Structure & Dynamics at Utrecht University. During my (graduation) internship at TNO applied geosciences, besides my interest in geological solutions for the energy transition issue, my interest in the GIS world surfaced. After graduating, a former fellow student offered me an opportunity to work at Tensing, which I seized with both hands.

Spare time
Anyone who thinks this born and bred Doetinchemer is a true Achterhoeker will unfortunately be deceived. In my spare time, I love sports, which is why I have been playing hockey several evenings a week since I was a child. I also boulder and work out regularly to challenge myself and stay fit. On holiday abroad, I like to go on adventures in nature in search of geologically interesting places with good views.

Why Tensing?
Tensing is a young and growing company with a special focus on training and personal development of its employees. These benefits in addition to the pleasant atmosphere in the workplace were the main reasons I decided to join Tensing.
