My name is Stefan. I am 24 years old and have been working at Tensing as a GIS consultant since September 2018. During my bachelor’s in Social Geography & Spatial Planning at Utrecht University, I discovered my passion for GIS, which led me to choose a master's degree in Geographic Information Management & Applications (GIMA). I completed this with an internship at Imagem, where I investigated to what extent you can recognize dormer windows on an aerial photograph using deep learning techniques.
What I like about Tensing is that you work in a very dynamic, young and innovative team where everyone is involved with geo-information in a different way. At Tensing I am currently working on the digitization of various GIS processes at Strukton Rail, which is very educational for me.
I am a big sports fan, so in my spare time I enjoy swimming, fitness and mountain biking. Watching sports from the couch, preferably with a group of friends, is also one of my hobbies. Furthermore, as a true social geographer, I like to travel and get to know new places and cultures. I will put this love of travel into practice at the beginning of 2019 by making a trip through South America.
